The Collection is divided into Professional Papers and Project Records; it consists primarily of project records with just a few professional papers. The professional papers include clippings, awards and the transcript of an oral history done for the Thomas Church Oral History Project. The project records contain drawings and some documentation for both built and unbuilt commissions. There are photographs for some projects.

Documentation for HABS and HALS reports include: measured drawings, historic data, and photographs. Not every project in this collection has a complete set of documentation.

This is a growing collection, as materials are added periodically due to legal reporting obligations.

The Karl Linn Collection spans the years c.1925-2005 (bulk 1955-2005) and includes files documenting the life and professional work of landscape architect Karl Linn.
