Abstract

The Eldon Beck Collection spans the years c. 1968-2014 and includes files created by Beck and his time with the firm RHBA. The collection is organized into three series: Professional Papers, Office Records, Project Records. These records contain correspondence, project files, drawings, photographs, slides, research notes, articles, and lectures.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The ASLA Records include the years 1937 and 1970-1990 and document the organization’s rich history of leadership in the landscape architecture profession. The collection offers information on the inner workings of a group of leading professionals, and how their work changed the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California. Scope and Contents From the Series:

Contains design documents, correspondence, photographs, and drawings. While most of the projects are Bull’s early residential and cabin projects, some of his later commercial work is included. The projects include work done independently and with BFVS, BVS, and BSA. Many additional project-related files can be found in the previous series under clippings, photographs, awards, and correspondence, and are listed in the project index.
