Scope and Contents
The Clarence A. Tantau collection consists of primarily of residential drawings produced between 1921 and 1939. Locations include Atherton, Berkeley, Hillsborough, Monterey, Moss Beach, Pebble Beach, Piedmont, San Francisco, and Santa Cruz. Non-residential drawings in the collection include the Monterey Peninsula Country Club (1925) and the Pasatiempo Clubhouse (1930). Also included are articles from Architect & Engineer containing Tantau’s work; and three sketchbooks from a trip throughout Europe in 1928.
