PROJECT RECORDS
Scope and Contents
This collection documents the architectural work of the firms Peters & Clayberg and Peters, Clayberg, & Caufield, with the bulk of the collection regarding Peters, Clayberg, & Caufield. Organized into two series: Series I. Office Records and Series II. Project Records; this collection spans 7 cubic feet and dates from 1960 through 1989. The Peters, Clayberg & Caufield Collection is comprised of Office Records which take the form of both national and local AIA awards received between 1965 and 1989 and photographs of the firm. Project records, in the form of manuscript material, drawings, and photographs, document projects of both Peters & Clayberg and Peters, Clayberg, & Caufield. These projects were designed by both firms themselves and in collaboration with other notable designers, including Charles Moore and Richard Vignolo. Notable projects present in the collection include St. Mary’s Gardens in Oakland, CA; the Graduate Theological Union Library in Berkeley, CA; and the Jerome B. Falk Residence in Berkeley, CA; Lorenzo and Graham Residence in Berkeley, CA.
