A. Correspondence and Mementos
Consists of correspondence including a Christmas card to Julia Morgan designed by Bernard Maybeck, several different copies of the San Francisco Examiner Golden Gate Edition from 1939, and a sketch.
B. Student Work/Education
Contains notes from Morgan’s final year in the Civil Engineering program at University of California, Berkeley. Includes construction course notes and a course book from Morgan’s studies at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. Numerous drawings from her student years are located in the flat files.
C. Travel
Consists of a sketchbook from Morgan’s trips to France and Switzerland 1895-1897. A diary from her trip to South America in 1947 is located in Series VI Additional Donations.
D. Photographs
Four small photographs of an unidentified landscape and architecture.
