Abstract

The Alice Ross Carrey Collection spans the years 1945-1962, 1982-2005 and includes files created by Carey at her firm. The collection is comprised of Professional Papers and Project Records created at her architectural practice. The records include (correspondence, project files, promotional brochures, drawings, photographs, research notes, articles, etc.). Carey is well known for her preservation work, which is well documented in this collection.

Scope and Contents The SMWM collection consists of manuscript materials (project files, marketing materials, correspondence, meeting notes, final reports, notebooks, etc.), drawings, photographs (including slides and photographs), and born digital items created by the design firm SMWM. The collection is organized into six series: Personal Papers, Professional Records, Faculty Papers, Office Records, Architecture Project Records, and Planning and Urban Design Project Records.
