Scope and Contents
14 cartons, 2 manuscript boxes. Arranged by job number where available.
A. Files
B. Specifications
C. Drawings
Contains construction photographs, sketches, meeting and telephone notes, correspondence with clients, contractors, and associated personnel, clippings, specifications, drawings, and prints related to the commission, design, and construction of Foothill Student Housing, University of California at Berkeley. The project consisted of three elements: a parking lot, Hillside/Commons, and La Loma housing. After completion, the project was involved in litigation, and as a result, the records appear to contain project files generated by associated firms in addition to those kept by William Turnbull Associates (WTA). The project records were loosely arranged into three categories: files of WTA project architect (Tomas Frank), files kept according to the WTA project file plan, and files kept according to the O’Brien Kreitzberg (Construction Manager) file plan. File plan indexes can be found in Box 95, Folder 102. Where available, job number arrangement was maintained.
